e-Learning without the Cost of an LMS

Six Solid Benefits of Media Manager

We receive a lot of inquiries about our Media Manager module, which enables you to provide video learning content within the registration process. Though this module is not the same as a Learning Management System (LMS), it offers some of the same features without the higher cost.

The basics
1. Upload videos or groups of videos and then give learners access via registration just like for live classes.
2. Restrict access based on various criteria such as a date range, paid-in-full, or the number of views.
3. Require a group of videos to be viewed in the correct order.
4. Just like with live courses, send learners to take a multiple-choice quiz once they finish the final video. Automate testing scoring as well.
5. Once a learner completes a video and/or passes a test, automatically issue them any formal credits and/or a certificate of completion.
6. Track learners’ progress through videos via reporting.

Though Learning Stream is not an LMS, it can provide in many instances the basics needed to provide asynchronous content when a budget breaking LMS is out of the question. As you may already know, Learning Stream is a lot better at registration management, too. Here’s a very brief video of a typical Media Manager setup and learning/testing experience.

For calendars and listings, go to Interface > Calendars and Listings > edit. The url to use can be found near the bottom of the page.

For links directly to events, go to the bottom of the Event Setup page to find the event specific url.
