Key Changes to Learning Stream This Year

A brief history of 2021

As you prepare for 2022, some Learning Stream functions added or improved this calendar year may help you look ahead. What you see below is not a full list, but you may find an item or two that can make your registration process more efficient next year.

Winter/Spring 2021

• Provide separate Zoom meeting login information for each day or time slot.
• More Canvas LMS enhancements, including a Canvas tracker showing enrollments, grades, and any errors that is now a widget option for the class dashboard.

Summer 2021

• An admin with access to the Registrant Access Module (student portal) can customize the header of the transcript that a person can print or download. Add custom text and graphics to edit the look of the document.
• The student portal can now be tied to a Cart. The new feature enables cart members/learners to see additional information such as any continuing education credits, issued certificates, training videos, and more.
• A single sign-on (SSO) option is now available for the instructor module. The process uses Learning Stream’s SAML configuration.

Fall 2021

• Custom messages, whether emails or texts, can now be scheduled hours or even minutes before the beginning of an event. For example, you may choose to schedule a reminder message for just 30 minutes prior to the event’s start.
• Several bulk upload templates are now consolidated in one location labeled Imports. There, you can find import templates for:
  - Events
  - Registrations
  - Database Registrants
  - External History
